Weather in the Thompson turns fast, and a hill twenty minutes from town lives or dies on whether people know it is open before they get in the car. A real version of this block would be the single place staff post that news, instead of it living only on social media.

That line is Harper’s own, and it is the whole pitch. More than fifty winters under one family, twenty minutes from Kamloops, with no resort group above it and no shareholders to answer to.

Harper runs both. A family can put one kid on skis and another on a tube and still spend the day in the same place — which is a rarer thing than it sounds, and worth saying plainly on a home page.

Cheaper if you buy early
Last season an adult pass was $849, or $772 on early bird — a $77 gap. The published banner read "on sale until midnight november 2nd", with no year on it.
